Wade Allen Pickerill

Wade is a rodeo cowboy originally from Southern Illinois. He was born into a rodeo oriented family and established his love for the sport at an early age. He grew up with a roping pen in his back yard and was competing in team roping, when he was 6-years-old. Wade made it his goal to be a true “all around” cowboy. He competed in team roping, calf roping, and steer wrestling in junior rodeo; and won six all around cowboy titles during his nine years in the association. He continued to pursue his goal of “all around cowboy” into the high school rodeo association. Wade qualified for the High School National Finals Rodeo in multiple events every year; from team roping to saddle bronc riding. Wade received several scholarship opportunities and chose Missouri Valley College, Marshall, MO. He went to Missouri Valley in the fall of 2003; on a rodeo scholarship. He proved to be a great “all around cowboy” in college as well. Wade helped carry his team to three Ozark Region Reserve Champion Men’s team titles, along with individually qualifying for the College National Finals Rodeo, in Casper, Wyoming. His sophomore year he received an award for having more points than any other member of the team. Wade also served as the saddle bronc riding director for the Ozark region of college rodeo during the 06-07 seasons. Wade graduated with a degree in History in May of 2008.He moved to Trenton, South Carolina, and is working at Wild Rose Performance Horses, riding and training horses, as well as giving riding and roping lessons.
